IBCLC certification

"

In 2020 I completed one of my long-term goals of becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Seeking this credential has augmented my chiropractic practice in many incredible ways.

Even though I am an IBCLC now, I will continue to co-manage with other lactation specialists and providers. My role on the healthcare team continues to be identifying and addressing the musculoskeletal issues that are affecting breastfeeding: specifically TMJ dysfunction, cranial asymmetries, tongue motion, and spinal restrictions. I will continue to work closely with your pediatrician and lactation specialists just as before.

Parents can expect results with my care in the first visit and resolution within 3-5 visits in most cases.  Many chiropractors will provide adjustments/wellness care for children occasionally but very few dedicate their entire practice to diagnosing and treating pediatric musculoskeletal conditions like I’ve done. There are only a handful of chiropractors in the whole world that are also IBCLCs and I’m proud to share my expertise and perspective with the South Sound community.
